Craft tools can range from something as simple as a craft knife, craft punch, sanding block or paper creasers to such things as an electronic die cutting machine. Infact anything that can be used to enable the crafter to perform his or her task a little easier can be classed as a craft tool.

Some say that the absolute basics for getting started in any type of craft, such as card making, stamping, altered art or scrapbooking, are a good hobby knife, self healing cutting mat, a good pair of scissors and a metal edged ruler. Other would add many more items to the list.

As you learn more skills in your chosen craft or crafts you will inevitably add the required tools to your basic list of craft tools so start with the basics and build as you go.
